About 3dfx Interactive

Founded in 1994 by Ross Smith, Gary Tarolli, and Scott Sellers, 3dfx created the first mainstream 3D graphics accelerator. Their Voodoo Graphics card (1996) revolutionized PC gaming, making smooth 3D graphics accessible to consumers for the first time. Despite early dominance, the company folded in 2002.
